These
cast iron finials were purportedly salvaged from an Adirondack estate
gatehouse prior to being razed for new construction. They are
approximately 8" high and sit on 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" bases. I would date
these to the late 19th or early 20th C. No breaks, nice paint.
