An extremely rare Shaker Rug Whip manufactured by Levi Shaw.
The whip is in excellent condition and retains portions of it's
original label identifying it as made in Mt Lebanon by Levi Shaw.
Shaw's industrial activities were little known compared to other Shaker
industries, however, he and his whip-making activities are described in
Richmond's "Shaker Literature". This is a very rare Shaker artifact.
