Sandpaper Paintings found in pastel colors are quite rare. This fine
example of an imaginary landscape (probably of the Hudson Valley), is
completely original and untouched. It has it's original wood
backer-boards and glass. It is quite possible that the frame is
original to the piece as well, however, the frame has been repainted at
some point in time.
This
circa 1850 painting is quite sizable as well. It measures 22" x 26"
